Space and time and material. Space. And time. And material.

Space.

Time.

Material.

This is all that is needed for creativity. Creativity, per Webster’s dictionary is:

the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination:

We do not need to invent brand new things in order to establish brand new ideas. We simply need to allow ourselves the time and space to consider old materials in new ways. The brand new things will inevitably emerge from this process.

This is what artists do. This is where progress originates. This is why art education matters.
